Guitar Hand Stretches and Warm Ups.

with 1 Comment

I get a lot of questions from folks about how to play guitar when their hands and fingers hurt from old age or arthritis.  While am no doctor, I do have some hand stretches for you.  These are important for everyone to do before they play.

We talk about the importance of a warm up for your hands and fingers. Stretching your hands and fingers to get ready to play guitar should be a part of your routine.  It is important for musicians to stretch their hands and fingers to warm up to play guitar. This keeps your hands healthy and improves your reach.

Of course if you have other hand issues you should talk to a doctor.

If you have any questions, let me know.

Otherwise get stretching and get picking 🙂

Jimmie from the email list added this great advice:

Having had arthritis in my hands for almost 50 years one of the best things is to hold your hands under running very warm water
